Extended warranty quotes year 5

Like some I took out extended warranty for year 4 after the manufacturer warranty ran out. £660 for full cover, £250 excess, less than 10k miles
I've just been looking at renewing. Cost doubled; now £1300 a year. Is this for real? Anybody taken the 5th year for less? Will Audi negotiate on price or is it all through the internet? I'm not going to pay £1300 that is for sure
My car has only done 25k miles. Considering putting it up for sale. If not will bank £110 a month and hope nothing goes wrong
Thanks all

Mine runs out August. Well, it's the Audi 12 month Approved so it's useless anyway as I've already found out. But I thought I'd quote myself unhappy today for a laugh. £1700 at current 50k miles on the clock.
Crazy. Don't get me wrong, it's there in case something big happens but as I've said before, a lad on ASN had his gearbox go after Audi neglected to notice/mention the S-Tronic service was missed. They refused to repair/replace. Subsequently chose to scrap his finance deal and got him into a new S4.
Is there a decent alternative? One where you know for a fact something will be fixed?

Think I have replaced most of the major big ticket items, under the original 3yr warranty. So still have the Audi 2yr parts warranty on those items, getting me to the 5yr mark. After that, I'll do the major component warranty version, with a small excess to keep the premium sensible. The full component price is a joke, but circa £15k for a gearbox fitted sows the seed of doubt.

That's the kicker for me mate. That one item alone. But £1700 is crazy. And that's at current mileage. Will only go up.

I was able to take out the sub 10k miles £250 XS All Component Cover for £680.00 for year 5 on My 2014 B8 with 55k miles, but was sent an invite email rather than having to apply - did you get a renewal invite?
God know what will happen in July when it expires as don't think this will be an option for year 6.

Just used the link provided on the forum. Pop in registration and mileage with XS. Reckon I could get it cheaper. Major parts only maybe. Not holding my breath though.

Have a read through the named item policy, it covers the scary priced items and is reasonable. The full component one is nice, just not at the price they want for it.

Yes that affordable price is exclusive to those renewing after the expired factory period, be it 3, 4 or 5yr depending on how it was optioned from new. For those entering as a new customer, you pull ones trousers down and then add a digit

Just grabbed an Audi quote for me, 2014 car, 34k miles, less than 10k miles per annum.
Full component with £0 excess = Over £2k
Full component with £250 excess = £1292
Named component with £0 excess = £1415
Named component with £250 excess = £919

At 3 years old was about £1300. That was £250 excess, under 15k miles full component.
When it came to renew for 4 years old I got the renewal email and was under £700. Same level of cover.
Figure that out?

Yeah I remember you saying. It's like you've got to 'earn' the real price by not claiming!!

It does seem when you get the email invite the price is better.

I suggest you read and understand the terms of the 3yr warranty. You Don’t get the 2yr warranty on parts that you would get if YOU paid for them.
With the warranties, READ the small print, the Audi extended cover is <beep>!
