Well here I am back on RS246 after nearly 9 years away. Nearly came back in 2014 with an S4 but that car never happened.
Seems i have went a fully circle from my RS4 back to hopefully another one, albiet a B8 model.
Non evo travels included an ISF V8, Evo8 400hp, 350z roadster, Cayman S, another ISF V8 and currently an XKR in the 8 years since selling the RS4.
Seed has been planted but in no hurry....Jan/Feb would be ideal as need to sell/trade my car (or wifes...dont tell her).
So couple of questions:
1. One of the reasons I sold my original RS4 was the DRC - so this time around looking for a standard suspension car.
2. Assume standard suspension cars with 20" wheels are like hens teeth - so do RS5 alloys fit the RS4?
3. My old RS4 had buckets - but I have yet to see any B8s for sale with buckets.
4. Is the rear seat split 50/50?
5. Are RS6s much more costly to run than the RS4?
Spec wise - blue, white or grey (in that order), black interior, less miles the better as I dont tend to buy high milers, standard susp, non sunroof, 20" with buckets would be nice. Not fussed on model year but budget prob wont stretch too late models....
FWIW - I still miss my original RS4, think through rose tinted glasses it may have been the best car i owned - hopefully the B8 wouldnt disappoint
Off to trawl previous posts.

Re: On look out for B8 RS4 early 2019
That's a rich journey to end up back here again, how were the ISF's?
To answer your questions:
1) DRC in the B8 is improved with failures being far less frequent compared with the B7. Still not infallible though, as Audi did update the front shocks due to some failures. Non DRC cars a very rare, as most were optioned with the Sport Pack which included DRC.
2) Yes (see above). The RS5 wheels are exactly the same as the RS4, other than running a wider 275 section tyre compared with the RS4's 265 section tyre.
3) Buckets are now quite rare to find due to the Super Sports being a better seat as standard. All the run out Edition models had bucket seats but they also had the Sport Pack.
4) Rear seat is a 60/40 split.
5) Not run an RS6 as they're too big for me personally, but imagine running costs are not that different. Perhaps 10-20% more?

Re: On look out for B8 RS4 early 2019
Cheers for reply Sam,
I did think finding a base car with 20" and buckets might be like finding a unicorn.
ISFs - great cars, lovely engine. First one went back due to no warranty on engine as it has missed its first service (even though it was an approved Lexus car). Second one was nicked from driveway - thiefing scam broke into the house when we were asleep and nicked the keys. Never got car back and was duly shafted by insurance company....so hence why now in an XKR (wife wont have another ISF as she feels they are unlucky !!).

Hi Brooner,
Could well be interested if you plan to sell instead of trade?
Any idea when in 2019?
PM me with a rough price and which area of Scotland you are. In central but dont mind travelling to get correct car.

No worries Brooner.
Probably looking to purchase late Feb.
Have my XKR to sell anyway, but may trade it in if a dealer car appears.
