Upgrades

So with the car now out of formal warranty, i’m thinking of a few subtle upgrades... need you folks to help point me in the right direction
(1) Washer Jets - can I just install via straight swap the A6 ‘fan’ jets to mist the windscreen? If yes, anyone have the part numbers to hand?
(2) spacers - i’d like to push the wheels out a little, will 5mm be enough to notice? Where is best to get them?
(3) exhaust - akrapovic... where is best to source?
(4) LED bulbs - i’ll message Trups
(5) Rear brake calliper cover - where can I get this done?
(6) Rear boot cover rattle - going to get some felt pads to go round the plastic flaps that holds it in place in the sliders. Question - anyone done this, and have a good source for the felt?
Any others?
Thanks Sam

Funnily enough - I was thinking that today. Have you got a sound clip to hear. What was the noticible difference?

Nice list you got going there Sam, doing similar myself.
- A6 washers - I think the fan ones have now been replaced with a combination version, which came with the C7 A6 facelift. The part numbers I have on my notepad are 4G0955987A and 4G0955988A, as they're handed. I keep meaning to order some up and try out, so can't confirm results. Infact I might actually just do this now, before I forget again

- Spacers - I've recently fitted 10mm H&R all around and found them to be fine with no rubbing.
- Akrapovic exhaust - I guess you'll have to phone around for that one, Glen @ Revolution might be able to help. I'm really enjoying mine and you're welcome to listen to it.
- LED bulbs - Hmmm I'll skip that one, as not had a good experience with that vendors products.
- Rear Caliper plates - I DIY'd mine but any good specialist/mechanic should be able to do that.
- Rattles - Not got around to them yet, so I'm the same boat.
Additionally I'd recommend fitting the Canyon Run upper brace, it made a nice difference for me. I wrote about it here -

Thanks Sam. I’d like to take you up on hearing the exhaust. I’ve actually just moved down closer to you (Cobham) so perhaps we could organise a meet up?
Thanks for the washer part numbers I’ve ordered them off eBay. £11 each delivered from Cardiff Audi.
Spacers on there way too. LEDs I am going to have a think about this as on more reading there seems to be some issues with fault codes
Strut brace and boot closing device is also next up for ordering! Will do that tonight

Just ordered some fresh number plates from here.

Pressed metal - I was really impressed with the ones I put on my station car, so now the RS4 is going to be treated. Will stick pictures up once they arrive

Been looking at these, but they do not show manufacturers mark or BS mark? Is there a loophole?

Yea they are lazer engraved at the bottom which is really not noticeable from a small distance. The bit that is differnt however is, they don’t ask to see the V5 and proof of ID like some others do.

Washer jets arrived today - great service from Cardiff Audi. Total time to fit was 5 minutes (including adjustment). The Jet has three main ‘thrusters’ with a general mist for full screen coverage.
Adjustment is done by the star-key adjust at the front, which draws the jets up or pushes them down (jets are already calibrated for width)
Make sure you do one Jet at a time so you can match up the right orientation (for those that forget...

‘Right’ goes on the drivers side...)
Last point to note, on mine at least, the jets are heated... surely the best feature of the car!

- New Washer Jet

- Old Washer Jet in Situ

- Old Washer Jet released from bonnet (just pull firmly from the nozzle side rotating back up the bonnet to release)

- New Washer Jet connected up, ready to be popped back in

- New Misting Jet in Situ
