Sat Nav - which revision

Hi,
Noticed that the Sat Nav in our newly acquired car does not recognise our postcode and its missing some newish roads.
I asked them to update the Sat Nav when it was in, but being an Audi dealer I am not sure whether that has been done.
Just wondering whether there is a way in the menu's of determining what revision of the Nav updates you are on?
Being male I have not read the manual so apologies if it tell you in there
George

Hi George. Go to the car, switch ignition on and then wait for the MMI to load up.
Click the Menu button, then top right is MMI Setup - if this is greyed out then the system is still booting, so wait. Click the soft key correlating to top right and enter the MMI setup menu, scroll down to the bottom and click Version.
The next screen shows MMI Firmware version and under that is the Map Database with an 8R code. The latest maps version should end with 6.24.2 and was developed in 2017.

Thanks for that. Will try that when my wife gets home with her RS4.
Must admit that I was surprised our post code did not come up as the post code has been active for ages.

Surprise, surprise, Audi main dealer did not carry out my request to update my Sat Nav as part of the purchase and reminder when it was in.
Thanks for the advice as I am on version 6.19.3.
Email been sent to dealer to get it in to be updated.

Hi,
I hope George does not mind me using his thread. Does anyone know how much Audi would charge to update to 6.24.2 ? Is only doable from a dealer?
i do not get out and about much but the last three trips the Sat Nav did not recognise the destination
Thanks in advance,
Jonny

My understanding is that it can be done yourself and I did find somebody online who supplies the discs. It still costs a lot doing it that way though and takes a few hours.

Got my Sat Nav updated so it now knows my home postcode. House is over 200yrs old so don't know why it was not in there originally !!
However all is not good, Audi garage appear to have put a very small ding in the door whilst in their possession. Awaiting to see what comes back from their service manager today.

I have literally just purchased yesterday and downloaded today. Just need to get a big enough SD card. It's an 18GB download consisting of the new Firmware, maps and updater.

Report back please!
Do you know if you get a personal activation code, or if it could be reused?

Haven't got that far yet as awaiting a new SD card. reading the instructions it looks to be generic, no code
