All Good Things...

So time has come to move on from the RS4. I've thoroughly enjoyed the character of the car and will miss the hi-revving V8, however I have the opportunty to move into a PE RS6 so will still be in the fold.

I will be putting the RS4 up for sale. She is in immaculate condition both inside and out and has an excellent spec. with most options ticked:
- Reg - March 2015
- 24K Miles
- Panther Black with Gloss Black Package
- Pano Roof
- Dynamic Pack
- Adaptive Cruise / Lane Assist
- Convenience Pack
- Keyless Entry / Keyless go
- B&O
- V Spokes & Red Brake Calipers
- Heated front and rear seats

The car has been detailed twice, most recently in September last year with Gyeon Mohs+ by White Details. Also had interior Gtechniq treatments applied back in November 2015.

Full Audi Service History with the recent major service including the gearbox and all of the diff oils being done. most of which were ahead of schedule.

I'm seriously considering selling privately, but was curious what folk would give as a value for the above?

Great spec RS4, and if you've got the chance to move into a PE RS6 why not!
Guestimate around 35k private but expect the part ex to be around 32k also depends on how quick you need to sell, obviously IMO!
Stick a couple of pics up

Ten cars on Autotrader, 15 plate under 25k miles. £35k to £44k price spread.

Cheapest car a private sale. Not as good a spec as yours (and advertised as having adaptive cruise when it doesn't). Private for yours would be higher - £37k?

I would say private £37.5 - good spec, age and looks great in your colour

37.5 seems about right. I sold my 15 (64) nogaro on sale or return in nov for 39.5 with 20k miles...yours benefits from beoing one of the youngest cars for that model. so you may be able to command a higher premium.

Try Auto Centre Inverurrie - they love stock like that and will collect.

I would say having previously been looking thats about right
2015 one on Sytner Select with 35K miles and good spec(though no pan roof)is up at 34K and was the private sale one on here thats just sold about 33K(not sure what it sold for)?
I think 37K would be dealer with warranty territory.

Just to add to the above list the car does have the sports exhaust and is fitted with a tracker.

Trackers are redundant now, so easily jammed. I had one and took it off, it made no difference to insurance.

Mine just sold to a trader for £32,850. I had it up at £33,750. The only interest I had was from a forum member who was looking at similar cars to yours and had one lined up at £32,500. I put mine on Pistonheads and tried Tootle and that's where I sold it.
No calls from Pistonheads at all. At £33,750 I expected it to go straight away given it was a May 15 car with a few months warranty left.
The reality is if the spec is not 100% it won't realise what you expect because people will hold out for the right spec. Yours sounds the right spec so I'd go for the higher end of what you think. Mine had a good spec but was Missano with no pan roof or DRC which I thought was an advantage but hey people like dull colours and troublesome suspension 😀

If you want to know what trade will offer go onto tootle and thy ask you what reg is and how much you want.
If you're asking price is above what previous ones in same age/mileage range as yours have went for they tell you to maybe adjust the asking price.
Basically it will give you quite a good starting point of where a trade valuation is likely to be.

Please see the following photographs of the car that were taken last year not long after the car was detailed. Once the weather improves I will be prepping her for sale so will get some up to date photographs of the outside and the interior. Car is in excellent condition and will be gutted to sell. Collected the RS6 PE at the weekend and having driven the cars back to back, the RS4 really does not disgrace itself against the RS6. If anybody is interested in the car then please feel free to PM me.

I've been looking at these for about 6mths now and think this is spot on. Private add, 35k and accept 33k-35k.

Prices feel like they've eased in the last month or two and I suspect that will continue as the last few "coming out of warranty" cars come to market in the coming months. Plenty of choice out their so a bit of a buyers' market.

Yours looks lovely. I'm still toying with a 997 C4S first.

So today is the day. Time to say goodbye to the RS4. Manage to strike a good deal with Fontain.

It's been fun having both the RS4 and the RS6 on the drive for a period of time. If I could have my way I would keep both! The one thing that has really stood out whilst driving both is that the RS4 really does not disgrace itself against the RS6 at all. In fact there are a number of things that I prefer in the RS4 - it has a sharper throttle response, the engine note is awesome when your at 8250rpm and the car is much better on the brakes (the RS6 is noticeably heavier). Oh and the B&O in the RS4 beats the Bose in the RS6 by some margin.

As a car to live with the RS4 will take some beating hence why the only car to replace it with was a PE.

The only issue for me was space - we need slightly more space with the kids in the back as the wife and I are both fairly tall. Other than that I would have kept it.

I expect Fontain will do the brake fluid change, AC Charge and MOT prior to selling. The car has full Audi service history and has had all of the big service items completed at 19K including gearbox and all of the various diffs - whole transmission was done at the same time as well as the engine oil.

She currently has MPSS tyres with approx 5mm of life left.

If anybody here is on the look out for an RS4 then you will find it very hard to find a better spec'd, better maintained example at the age and mileage. If anybody does pick her up and wants to know anything about the car and it's history then please feel free to PM me.

I was going to post the link to the RS4 for sale via Fontain however it would appear to have sold already!

Yes indeed, the gentleman having it has been waiting for a few months for a really special one to appear. He's taking it next week when he's back from a holiday and I get the distinct impression he's (rightly) quite excited about it!
