Anyone in the Cardiff area with a B8 RS4. Have been told by the Audi Techy this morning that the humming from the engine bay is a characteristic. I don't think so, if it were a new car I'd go as far to say I'd reject it. So before I take it further I could do with a comparrison and a second opinion from another owner. I will travel to somewhere convienient ......Any takers please?

There was a post here a few weeks back he had a similar noise, from the passenger footwell sort of area. it was some loose pipes on the underside/engine bay i think, have a search youll find it

I have read through the post you refer. I was hoping for more support today from Audi but they have not come up to scratch. I may take it to Bridgend Audi for another opinion but would like the opportunity to compare with another car/owner also,just to make sure I am not being a drama queen.

People have reported a buzzing/humming sound which is described as being from the transmission tunnel area. If that is more like your problem, then there's a part Audi can fit to resolve it, I've had this done and it's something like a vibration suppression ring fitted to some S-Tronic pipework.
