Can you explain the issue more? Mine frequently doesn't pick up DAB outside of London. Perhaps it's my misunderstanding of DAB but I thought you could pick up regional radio stations without being in the traditional mast area for it.

The whole station list of dab was unavailable intermittently, no matter what area of the country, one day it would work fine others it could be off for hours

Sammy,

It certainly shouldn't be the case that you get no DAB outside of London. I travel around the country a fair bit with mine and have very little issue with reception. The car is based in east Anglia and we get DAB with no issues. There is only one spot where we lose reception daily but it's something to do with a particular building as it goes as we drive by.

Mooney, Sammy

Mine has gone into Cardiff Audi today for a DAB issue among others. I regularly lose the entire DAB station list intermittently whilst driving along the M4 from Cardiff to Swansea for approx. 25% of the journey. I also lose it whilst driving around Cardiff.

Incidentally, the A6 I have from them today on the same route has not lost reception once. Will report back laterz.

Yup, believe I have the same issue. Sometimes locally I lose all stations and they come and go every few seconds. Other times no,issues

If the station list is up on the MMI all stations appear to be off air

I must investigate further (I know one specific area where there were problems last week) and will drive through it again. It was in a dip so I did wonder if the signal was weak

Okay thanks guys. I am going to keep an eye on what happens on the drives over the weekend and will report back. Looks like it might be yet another dealer visit I'm up to 5 in the last year now! Car has spent over a month in the garage. :dung:

Only problem I've ever had, is where listening to a couple of stations the front tweeter sounds like it is blown/popped (e.g. Kerrang). I put that down to the station, rather than the DAB.

So... 1 week in the garage and they couldn't fault the radio unit. Took it home and non-stop it was messing about. However by chance I think I've diagnosed the issue whilst trying to record a video to prove it exists.
Basically when I plug my iPhone in to the USB in the armrest the issue occurs. DAB goes all patchy for stations not in the geographical area. Any ideas?!

Is that an aftermarket USB point, as I thought the only one available is through the Glovebox AMI?

Yes. I had bought a USB point that connects via the 12v point in the glove box. It's very odd that it messes with the dab aerial though.

No - not cheap. Only occurs when the phone is plugged in if the iPad is plugged in it's fine.
