Car jerks at standstill - any ideas?

Hi all,

When I can to a standtill (with my foot still on the brakes) my RS4 jerks...basically the engine revs a little back and forth (however rev meter doesnt move) When I put it in 'P' park mode its fine.

Any ideas?

What age is the car and how many miles?

Mine was doing this very slightly right before the 38k mile oil service (all oils). It went away once this had been completed, I put it down to the S-tronic box service and filter change, I have since been told this was probably very definitely the case.

Funnily enough nearly 38k on a 2013 plate. I too have just had a full service and a gearbox service. But the problem was there before. Its quite annoying.

So u have had the s tronic oil changed and it's still doing it?

Yes I have recently had a gearbox oil change and its still doing it. It doesn't do it in Manual mode, just Drive and Sport mode which is odd. I do have a coolant leak which needs to be rectified. I doubt it would be that.
