MRC doing a C7 RS6 transplant into a B8

Just seen on
Instagram that Doug is about to drop a C7 RS6 power plant into a B8 RS4.
I always thought this was a good idea for the B7, nice to see one going into an RS4, especially with the lack of supercharged B8s.

I saw that as well and started wondering how he'd get the ZF8 in there. Then I read his comment about him retaining the S-Tronic for, in his words, "quick changes".
I can't see that lasting long before the box gets lunched...

I was going to ask about the box. Agreed that's going to be choco unless it's upgraded.

Didn't they do a rs6 turbo conversion to an s6 which ran fine

Someone has for sure. It'll run, but that S Tronic gearbox is not designed for that torque so at best you're reducing the lifetime of the box. There's a reason next RS4 is going ZF8.

because its cheaper to buy a ZF8, than custom design and build your own DSG when you've spent all your sweetie money paying fines for being naughty and cheating ...

I doubt MRC are going to do something that doesn't work, i would imagine they know what's what with the G box. Does it state it's going to be bog standard??
