Could you change black interior trim to carbon?

Hi all,
I'm on the search for a Suzuka RS4, just missed out on one. Narrow on the ground in this colour.
I've seen a couple, one has the gloss black interior, but having seen the carbon interior I prefer that.
Can this be swapped? Anyone done it?
Thanks.

Not sure where you're based but a company called Herts Tints can remove and wrap them for you. Have a look on their website - there's an old Aston that had a faded and dated wood trim which they updated to an aluminium look and you'd never know it was a wrap

That would certainly be cheaper than buying a new set.
I presume you could though through a dealer. I'm sure they'd want a £ or two.

I'd be surprised if you can't tell the difference real carbon and a wrap.
It won't be cheap from audi as they normally use real carbon for their interior trims. Cheap way would be to get it carbon skinned, or the more expensive way would be to buy real carbon trims from ebay and the real expensive way would be to buy them from a dealer.

The RS indeed does use real carbon, the set is not cheap. The older B7 was easier to swap out, the B8.5 is a little trickier but can be done. The piece around the gear shift is the hardest apparently.
I have the piano black inserts and I have to say I wished I'd ordered the carbon, it was no extra costs at order time. The only reason I want to change is because the black collects the dust, they don't stay clean very long.

It can be done no problem, it will just require some work to change over. The hardest part will be sourcing some replacements at a reasonable cost, as I'd imagine that Audi will want both kidneys along your first born.
If you're thinking of wrapping then it won't look so OEM, as the factory original carbon has a brushed aluminium accent on the door and dash trims.

Hydro dipping could be a good option. Pretty sure I've heard of people doing it for the same parts before and it'll be cheaper than buying new parts from Audi.

Hydro dipping will be cheaper but it doesn't look as good as real carbon.
