I really really love the colour. I remember back in the early noughties, a good friend of mine ordered his TT Roadster in Merlin, and for me that colour has stuck ever since. I saw a new RS3 the other day, which looked great.
But, personally (and I know it's a subjective thing) I don't like the alu trim and silver wheels. As the Merlin C7 (666 RS) demonstrates, I think it needs the black styling package.

Is yours Velvet Purple or Merlin Purple?

I've seen velvet in the metal on an S3, it's a very flat colour. Merlin wipes the floor with it on every level. Depth, shine and sparkle.
