My car came delivered on Toyo Proxes T1 since its on 19's
Time for tyres now and was seriously considering Michelin PS2 or SS due to the reviews on here.
Best price I've found is about £185 for PS and £210 for SS.
However, been looking again and Mytyres.co.uk have got the Toyos for £85!
Ive always found them pretty decent and they are AO Audi approved, can the Michelins really be that good to warrant the extra cash?
Anyone used My Tyres website?
V tempted to stick with the Toyos again.....

Hi Chief
I have the Toyos on mine, standard on the 19's in Australia.
They are good tyres but I feel that the Michelin's would be better (as they were great on my R36). But for the nervous nelly compliance freaks amongst us, the Michelins don't have the same load rating as the Toyo's (from what I could source in Australia) which in Australia is a floggable offence if someone actually picks you up for it (basically if you have a prang after it all goes pear shape and the insurance company wants to play hardball).
So, I am now on my second replacement set of Toyos (just got the second set at 60,000kms) and am reasonably happy as I have punted the Toyos from time to time, with reasonable success, but I still feel the Michelins would be better, especially in the wet (particularly in the Australian downpours where the roads start having ponds on them in about 10mins of deluge) and frankly I don't care about the money when it comes down to the last physical link with the road.
Hope that sort of helps

If you've been happy with them and the Toyos haven't caused you any trouble,
then you might as well save yourself a few quid IMO.
When you have good tyres though you do notice the difference and the confidence to push harder.
Michs would be a better buy.

I believe AO are 'Audi Approved', and are fitted to the majority of standard Audi models. 'S' and 'RS' models should have RO1 marked tyres as far as I understand it. RO1 tyres are specifically designed for the performance models in Audi's range, but are only made by premium brand manufacturers, not cheap Woosungs, Nankangs or Acceleras!!!!!!!

I found some info on Audis Middle East website that AO tyres are audi approved and RO1 are for Quattro models not just RS and S models.
Still seems poor that my brand new RS4 came on AO not RO1's then
