Apparently the B8 has been reclassified - insurance

Had my renewal though from Lloyds Bank insurance, which had jumped from £440 to a staggering £1950!
I rang this morning to find out why, and they informed me that out of the panel of their underwriters all had reviewed the B8 for 2016, and now exclude it citing "security reasons". This left them with one choice at the above price.
I've plumbed all my details into the usual comparison engines, and lots of the usual suspects no longer seem to be quoting. The lowest 'recognised' appears to be Admiral at £600 (once legal cover is added on)...
Has anybody had any large jumps, or can recommend any unlisted companies?
Cheers

LV always provided the best overall for me on all my RS's, as long as you have an active tracker fitted.

OK SO RS6 PE £98000 (I'm putting the ceramics on it if I can spec amend) is £100 per year cheaper with Admiral and no tracker....

That's one of the reasons i when with them no requirement for a tracker quite a few insures insist on them

Aye, but don't forget admiral make you declare all factory options and that ups the price.

It is certainly not a disaster tho. (For anyone reading this thread these are quotes for my RS6 Performance Edition, to compare with my current B8 Ltd)

Did it actually have the PE edition? I can't imagine many if any have been insured yet, so not many underwriters will have actually reviewed.

Ok, so according to go compare the 6PE insurance has dropped slightly to £404.
But as soon as I modify it it shoots up to 2500.
