Joining the fold

Hi all, just put a deposit on a Suzuka grey RS4 ref BT15 DKF, looks like a good car. If anyone knows of any bad news on the car it would be appreciated. Two questions - is there a security update for the obd issue? Do I need to buy the secure my car alarm? Also can you retrofit memory seats to the supersport seats?

Really appreciate any info and looking forward to getting the car on Sunday! Pics to follow

Thanks -I love the colour, it's a June 2015 with 5k, it has a good spec, pan roof, sports pack, technology pack, privacy, heated seats etc, doesn't have buckets but they wouldn't suit the wife. I am only just reading about the knocking issues, seem a bit worrying

Suzuka is a great choice. Similar spec to my '14 car.

Had mine 3 months and love it. It has done 40k and no issues with suspension/knocks etc at all.

Thanks for all the replies, yes from BMW Wolverhampton. I am really excited, the only things it doesn't have that I would have liked are leather, memory seats and hill assist. I am hoping I can retro fit hill assist and maybe memory. It goes straight to have some stone chip film fitted to the front end so should have it back Thursday. Any thoughts on the alarm? Glad the suspension may not be an issue. 4 wheel drive will be taking me back to my Subaru RB5 days :D

Hill Hold assit can be added via Vagcom , if its added this way it will always be on unless you retro fit the switch,

I looked into retro fit for the memory seats, as its one extra I should have checked as I thought it was standard. Retro fitting was looking at min 3K, so decided to just put up with it....

Apparently the memory seats aren't that difficult as the motors don't need to be replaced but need two additional wires, a senso4 and a controller unit plus the switches. This is from the internet so It could be a complete lie. Has anyone on the forum ever done it?

Appreciate the replies, didn't sleep that well last night as quite excited! Tomorrow is pick up day
