Exhaust rattle on cold start

Hard to describe the noise, but its like a tin rattle from exhausts on cold start.

Only lasts bout 30 sec then clears. Doesnt do it on warm. Ive found a few threads about it, some say thats just the way it is, some say they had bits changed.

Anyone had personal experience?
Is a 14 car with 9k

mine is 2013 always is a bit rattly from cold but as you say less than 30 seconds and its gone personally nothing to worry about as it seems to be normal

Probably the exhaust valve flap. Get your ear close and see if it's present on one side or both. Apply something like WD40 (or better alternatives) to the valve after you've checked and see if it still happens the next day. If it's gone away, then you know the cause. If you have warranty still, then you'll be able to get the dealer to resolve (or supplier if it's an aftermarket product).

Likely passenger side back box heat shield. Known to rattle.

Heatshield just needs bending differently normally - mine was rattling against the underside of the boot floor.

Might be as simple as a stone between the heatshield and the body of the car. Had a few of those also.

Mine do also it. Goes after minute or so and all ok after big rush of air on start up its on most audi

As I understand it, the start up rattle is pretty normal, it's to do the emission regs. My 2012 one does the same.
