Where's the RS4 when you need it!!

Just spent the best part of 7 hours travelling from Yosemite National Park to Death Valley in a rental Chevvy SUV. For about 20 miles through Death Valley we were the only car on the road. How I wished for the RS4 to give it some "welly" and for a decent air con system to cope with the 122*f heat!!!

I did that in a Mustang convertible a couple of years ago.
A problem with those long straight roads is that the Police are waiting for you, as I found out! 120 in a 65...

Hmm, need to send someone ahead and phone back to let you know if it's clear or not. Or a passenger with some binoculars perhaps.
That sucks, but being my only car the RS6 doesn't miss any action!

The police officer was fine tbh and let me off with a stern warning, He did write a ticket though, which I've kept for prosperity

Wow, that's pretty awesome after getting caught at nearly double the limit!

During the 326 mile journey we only saw one "Law Enforcement Vehicle" and that was a local Sherrif who was chasing down a motorcyclist in a 25mph limit through Stovepipe Wells. The were a couple of aircraft lurking however, and the signs do say that speed is checked from the air!!

Sure it isn't these types of aircraft

Going back out to Death Valley again this November for some more photography.

Wow, nice one Sam!
Every year when I'm on holiday I miss the RS4. There are some nice driving roads abroad, and although I get done for speeding nearly every year, there's no points on my license.
