Damn! Going from 365-380 on mine with the standard 8 pots was a massive difference, 400mm will be mind blowing!
Ferodo DS2500 pads?

Rs6 brakes fitted today....amazing is an understatement - pedal is super hard and no fade whatsoever as expected.
Stainless Hosetechnik lines and Tarox updated fluid also fitted and we'll be painting the rear calipers to match next week.

Running them on std pads for now to bed them in then probably go for Pagid or similar ready for our Ring trip in July.

Yes would be interested in the price as I remember when I did a full upgrade on my B5 to the B7 set up front and back it was only about £700 more than new standard disks and pads front and back that didn't include fitting though

What's the weight difference on those to the standard rotors ?
I've always found the B8 to be quite sensitive to unsprung weight changes as the wheels don't track too well at the best of times, so a little extra weight might make the braking better, but the steering feel and turn in worse
Could you not source some ceramics ?
I know it's only personal opinion, but I found ceramics transformed the way the car behaved over anything other than the smoothest surfaces simply due to unsprung weight reduction and better wheel tracking of bumps

we didn't weigh them tbh as the RS4 is a lard arse compared to the track cars we've run in the past...

the lightweight OZ rims have taken some of the weight out of the front already and the Pirelli Corsa track tyres give a fair bit of tramlining when cracking on in dynamic mode..

they'll obviously be heavier due to the size but they were a bargain not to be missed...

Kept looking for ceramics and 5k was the cheapest new set i could find - should've taken up the £3600 offer i had when i factory ordered it...

just wish they had B7 2-piece floating discs as they were amazing..

cant wait for the Ring in July to get them them loaded up.

We have the std kit for sale if you know anyone who wants them along with spiggot rings to fit most vw's too - £1,300 ono
