Sports Diff Question

Post by Fester » Fri Nov 28, 2014 8:47 pm

3 weeks in to ownership and despite car due back at dealers this Monday for knocking front suspension, off centre steering wheel and rattle in drivers door still can't get the smile off my face. Got things set up to suit me but confused about the sport diff settings. I understand how it all works but what difference do the settings make. For the driving I've done so far I can't feel any change between comfort and dynamic but was also wondering how the setting changes the operation/functionality of the diff?

With suspension in dynamic you should feel a bit more movement at the back end, though you'll have to push on a bit.

At the limits of grip in comfort mode, you'll get the usual Audi under steer.

In dynamic mode it will definitely kick the back of the car out on roundabouts and fast corners.

I leave mine set in dynamic all the time. :)

If you put it in auto, it's pretty intuitive and kicks in as soon you start to push on
