I have a problem with keeping the scale change on the SATNAV map, I like viewing the map at 300 scale but it keeps switching to a much more distant scale view I think 1.5 miles.

I've changed it with the quick wheel and also clicked into the menu at the side and changed it, but it goes back in a few seconds.

I have automatic zoom switched on which I like but the standard view is too far out for me, anyone know how to save the change or set it to 300 permenantly?

That's what it was on the RS5 but this new 7 digit Satnav won't stay on it.....

You could try a reset of the mmi.

Hold the top right button, centre button and if I recall correctly the bottom left for a good few seconds and it will rest.

(If it wasn't the bottom left it was the other button to make a diagonal line.)

My car has been in for other satnav oddities-eg did you know your home address is linked to your phone? I have a SIM card in the car for google earth, and have an attached iPhone for calls. The day I get in the car with a flat iPhone means any favourites I've saved when the phone was in the car won't be available, including my home address.

Mine stays on the same scale including after stopping and restarting the car and I can't find anything in the settings that may influence the scaling. I think Warthog has got the best idea here...

You have to press top right selection button, the centre toggle button, and the Menu button all at the same time.

I have reset the MMI but still it automatically changes back to scale 300 from the 200 I set it at, very frustrating.

Press and hold the speech button on the steering wheel and say "automatic zoom off / on" whichever your preference

I know how to turn that off, the auto zoom only kicks in when you get close to a turning as far as I'm aware??
