AMI & iPhone 5

Hello guys,
I'm new here so hello to everyone.
Just ordered my RS4 from Newbury Audi - Sepang Blue with sports exhaust etc. build week is 1st week March..excited.... anyway.. to my surprise i'm being told that the current shipping AMI, almost same as i have in my A5 Black Edition comes with a iPhone 4 30 pin connector and no news on compatibility with lightening connector.
I've tried the 30pin to Lightening in my current model but it doesnt work since IOS 7 ( know issue )
any anyone confirm this?

Newbury are a good bunch though not big discounters, I hope you haggled!
I have to confess I've not tried my iPhone through AMI since iOS7. You can always Bluetooth instead.

yes... i got a great deal.. actually surprised on the deal TBH but i did play them off a BMW dealer for an M5.
bluetooth works fine its the music side of the AMI that causes problems.

bluetooth works fine its the music side of the AMI that causes problems.
Just download 'Audi Connect' app, then all you need to do is turn wifi on on the phone, have the app running in the background, and when you select 'media' on the ami it will see all the music on your phone.
I'm using this and don't have any cables connecting my phone to the car, you can have Bluetooth running at the same time for phone calls.

I use Bluetooth with an iPhone 5s and it works very well for music/phone

I forgt to mention, your music needs to be in a playlist called 'Audimusicstream' for the app to recognize it and stream it to the ami with album art and full control through the ami.

That's a faff. If you just use bluetooth, it comes up with the song name, artist and album.
