I am getting the the 9:45am train from Paddington tomorrow morning to head off to Bristol Parkway. From there is it just a short cab ride to Bristol Audi where my new Daytona RS4 awaits.

Any advice on what to look out for when collecting?

I will try and post updates during the day.

Thanks for all your help in making this become a reality. Ever since I sat in a B5 RS4 at a car show as a teenager I have always wanted one, never really thought it would happen.

Enjoy it and make sure you give it a good check over before you leave the forecourt

Things I normally look out for are obvious marks on the paint work, polish residue and interior marks.

If the cars wet, be very careful around paint. The water beading will make the car look awesome but will also hide any paint defects.

I would say you can reasonably expect the car to hav less than 20 miles on the clock, so worth questioning if it's unreasonably high. Also, check all things you asked for are there e.g. mats, fuel and load liners.

Other than that, just enjoy it! As ive said before, sooooooo jealous of you! Haha

I was like that... Going to enjoy the unveiling, savour the moment, look round it in detail
In reality, I took the keys and nearly drove it out the big glass door before they even opened it

Set off on my journey to the Paddington. Beautiful day for it. Nice crisp air for the induction to suck up!

Quick question, does the RS4 have a usb socket you can charge your phone from or is it cigarette lighter time?

Sorry no usb mate will need to purchase a cable from audi or fleabay ....or give them a sob story about your long day or you could have gone else where and they might throw one in for free... you can only try.

oh, and btw, you will likely have the MMC leads in the glovebox (and ipod connector and a USB connector) - i did with my Q7 so you should be able to charge the phone.

Also, if you have BT connect high, go onto the bluetooth, connections and select carphone not just handsfree - this gives you the use of the maps etc as well as the antenna in the car rather than just BT to the phone!

Just past Reading now. Did have a free seat next to me but an Italian chap has just sat next to me. Watching Goodwood festival of speed on the screen in front of me to get me in the mood.
