Thank you to all the members of this forum for your help, especially Nickyboy, as of 17:45 today I have placed an order for a brand new shiny Daytona grey RS4. Build date of week 44, some build slots just opened up so lucky me I should have it by Xmas and not wait until March.
To say I'm excited is an understatement, but you all know the feeling.
Is there any way to track your order with Audi like you can with BMW?
Here is the specification

Nice one, the wait begins.
Did you not take tech pack high, it is only £950 and adds adaptive cruise and a host of other stuff.

Naa, for two reasons. I would never use the cruise control, I like to be in total control of the car at all times. Also I hate the big hole it leaves in the front grill of the car for the radar module. Taking those into account I end up saving some money and not having a big hole in the font of the car

Looks a nice spec
Privacy glass and side windows blinds though ? What are planning on doing back there ??

Haa, privacy glass only stops people seeing in, not the light coming in. I have both in my BMW because my Son hates having the sun in his face when is bright out. Hence both
p.s. Love the things people pick up from looking at the spec. Might ask the dealer if he can upgrade to the tech pack for me for free. I do hate the hole in the front bumper though and he has given me such a good deal that I doubt he will.

I too thought the cruise would be a waste of money but I ordered it anyway and I use it more than I thought I would.
The hole isn't that bad!

I don't have it, but I can see how it'd be useful and possibly regret not having it
Back in my last Job, we had a pre prod'n development Honda CRV that was fitted with the active cruise and also the lane keep system so it steers for you based on cameras that locate the car using the white lines. Was odd driving down the motorway with your hands on your lap whilst the car accelerated/decelerated and also steered for you...
Churchwa ; That sensor might be useful for you to avoid people sneaking up on the car whilst you enjoy the secrecy that your privacy glass/blinds have afforded you ! haha

The lane assist is annoying.

Last minute rigmarole with the dealer. Got the order form though and they had the wrong wheels (which they actually emailed me about before I could respond to acknowledge their mistake) but they have also missed off a couple of options from the car. Time to drive a hard bargain given that we have already agreed the finance payments.

Credit to the Audi dealer, they realised their mistake and added the options on for no extra cost. Back on track.

Nice spec, I'm pissed now, my build week is quoted at 47.!
I changed my spec to add the tech pack , can you switch the lane assist off if it's annoying ?

If I am build week 44 (October 28th) how long should I expect to wait for the car to be at the dealers?
