Not too sure this "Waiters thread" is doing anyone any favours here,
seems its making people more and more frustrated thinking about build times and dates!! LOL

Don't loose faith, more and more in love with mine, badger the hell out of the dealer if you have time and threaten to cancel, I bet they get things moving then!!!
I've not driven a GTR but the RS is everything I wanted and more, sedate for boring drives and mental for those special moments when the lorries, idiots and toyota drivers f**k off!

Fwiw, bmw's build system is equally as rubbish as audi's. The only real benefit they have over Audi is the dealer gets allocated more 'non specific' slots and can also juggle between dealers, so you can sometimes get an earlier slot if it's not a mega in demand car like the new m3/4 will be

I find the waiting for a new car all part of the excitement, especially when ordering an RS4.
When it arrives you'll have a fantastic motor that'll be well worth the wait.

Second that. It's part of ordering a new car. Yes, I'd prefer not to wait six months, but a bit of a wait for the right car in the right spec is no bad thing.
