Canadian partners.

Maybe I missed something but I don't see how Super Charging will fix the carbon issue?

Read the comments above and you'll see why supercharging was mentioned. When mines was supercharged after 20k miles it was removed to fit another kit and Doug commented i how much cleaner it was when compared to an NA car. So maybe it helps

The carbon problem does seem to be generally self limiting - probably due to a combination of factors but I would expect temperature and air charge speed to play a role. Under full throttle the supercharger will be flowing considerably more air so you'd hope it'd loosen things a bit more.
VW acknowledge that high engine temps help remove things and again more power results in more heat.

Finally iirc the vacuum system on the rs4 uses a Venturi effect so faster airflow may make the oil separator work better

Audi doesn't think so (no dsg on RS6/7 or S8).

PS. The term S-tronic can now refer to the dsg or tiptronic auto transmissions. The rs6 has s-tronic for example, even though is the 8 speed tip.

dsg/tiptronic/s-tronic are all different,
s-tronic is the only one with dual cluch, faster shifting (0.2s) and rev-matching on down shifts,
the s-tronic RS7 TT V8 got about 700Nm of torque so clearly the gearbox can cope with that, supped V8 RS4/RS5/R8 will have no more then 600Nm, so wouldn't worry

RS6/7 is 'S-Tronic' but as above it's a slosh box, not the same as in RS4/5. S6/S7 have dual clutch but that level of tune has lower torque output.

I would have agreed on the comments about the slush box...
But after driving a new 8 speed ZF and a 135m one I think they will take over.
You can not tell the difference between them in practise and make for much smoothe driving when not on it.
Seriously fast shifts and proper blips on down change.
I'm not a fan of any auto tech (just personal preference) however I was mighty impressed with the new slush boxes.

I would wager that they are slighter and less complex than the dsg's so could see a trend towards them.
