My eyes have just been sick. WTF are those wheels doing?

I have to say I'm not keen on the red rim on those wheels, looks like a cheap plastic rim protector stuck on
The red banding also makes the wheel look smaller IMO

Ouch, mines got those.... But the good news is that in the flesh i loved them, and the way that red band is applied to the wheel is cool, it is an acrylic inset, posh plastic!

My main issue is the silver mirrors, i know its an rs trade mark, but on that car they needed to be black

I walk past that car every morning (my office is just off Berkeley Square) and I have to say the wheels have grown on me, however I still prefer my titanium rotors against the Misano, black pack and privacy...

IMO the red rim trim makes the wheel look smaller, but the black finish is nice. If they did the wheels without the red trim I think they'd sell well.

I popped in one lunchtime to have a look at the spec and it's pretty well loaded! They've had it in there for coming up to a month now so I suspect it'll get moved to another Shitner dealer soon if it doesn't sell.

I think Audi UK are changing that now. I know when you spec an rs6 and 7 if you spec black pack, you have to select gloss black mirrors and I think it's the same for the new rs3. I personally like the silver mirrors, even on cars with black pack it can look good with the right wheels in certain colours.

In germany you can spec body coloured mirrors on RS cars.

Yeah I've got a client on Berkeley Street, got to say though I didn't think the wheels looked smaller with the rim at all, from my perspective with the rim being right at the edge - it made the wheels look bigger and the tyres even thinner. Anyway I hope you all see mine in the flesh at some point... soon!

If you're picking it up on a weekday then there's a very high chance I might! I go past the handover bay on Berkeley Street each morning at c9am so I see the cars awaiting their new owners. I'll keep a look out for yours!

One thing I noticed this morning as I walked by is the red rear calipers of the above car have RS logos on them. Mine only has them on the front, so I'm assuming the rear decals are a feature of the 'red painted calipers' option?

hmmm - I dunno, I like the Red Calliper Upgrade, but the backs I'm not so sure, they're kinda black with red around them as I remember? they look odd.

Red calipers.....mmm, I don't know being honest - reminds me of the days when I used to paint the calipers of cars like Ford Escorts and Astras to make them go, or should it be look faster! I know Astons and Porsche, and other prestige brands use yellow and red paint etc, but it doesn't do it for me.... black or the grey ceramic calipers every time. Personal preference, I know, but my boy racer days are well gone....

I like the red calipers, I went for it and I thought they were odd when I 1st picked up my car but now I can;t imagine it without them.
