timmo wrote:Hi, ordered mine abt 2 weeks ago...1st RS4 order at the new Audi City dealership in London. Noticed your spec is v similar to mine except panther black, however did you get the Vspoke alloys included in the Sports Pack in the end or did you have to pay for the Sports Pack and then spec the Vspoke alloys additionally.

I tried to pay for the sports pack plus the additional cost of the Vspoke alloys over the Rotor alloys but my dealer said this wasnt possible.

Think mine's not going to arrive until Jan 13, depending on exact date I may wait for the 13 plate.

Apologies for coming back "on subject", but I've just had another look at the RS4 B8 brochure.

Given that the wheel combinations are basically 19" or 20", and then £100 extra for a "Titanium" paint job, I would have thought that any dealer worth his salt, would not risk losing a sale, if a prospective customer wanted say WC9 - i.e. the Sports Package of 20" wheels (Hi-gloss or Titanimum 5-arm "Rotors") DRC, Dynamic Steering, Sports exhaust - IMHO a bargain at £2250?, but preferred say PQI - the V-Spoke design wheels ilo the PQW or PQ3 5-arm rotors.

All it should take is a call to Audi HQ and I would have thought that it would not be allowed to be a deal-breaker? The biggest cost difference would be the difference in price between 19" & 20" tyres - not the difference between the cost of the individual 20" wheel designs, surely?

You will be spending the thick end of £60k with them?

I think I'd be back at Audi City knocking on a few doors and get then to work a bit harder for their profit- especially given that 535DBoy has been able to get exactly the wheel design he wanted at no extra cost?

Tell them that you seen it mentioned on RS246.com & it would seem to be possible.

Ian

Unless they wanted thy design to be more exclusive and charge a premium

Maybe my dealer is doing me a favour, read discount!

I agree that Audi is being greedy here and risking losing orders. Plus having the early rs4s that hit the UK roads and dealers well optioned out (incl the v-spokes) may help with demand for the car. There is limited (if any) defensible rationale for charging full price afro the v spokes to an order with the sports pack. At the end of the day Audi has managed to not make the rotors exclusive anymore by making them available to so many of their models.
