I've been quoted £58,831 by Orange Wheels for the below spec on Audi Finance (so taking the £2K for that into account), ROTR price was £64,727 so that is a reduction of £5896 or 9.1% on asking price.

Couple of questions I currently have in order to clear things up and move this along from fantasy to reality.

• - Should I expect more of a discount than that from an Audi dealership? (think big Audi dealerships like Kings Lynn, etc)

• - Has anyone bought through Orange Wheels previously and can share their experience?

• - Would you expect your normal dealer to match this price? (I'd like to give him the business if I can)

• - Would you expect the dealership to pay first years tax? (they did on my A5)

• - How much roughly for servicing? - looks like Oil change at 9K miles and full service every 19K miles

I've been offered just over 7k on a similar spec to yours, I showed my dealer the Drive the Deal price and he got within a few hundred quid. However I've now been told that the car won't be built until early next year, with delivery likely in Feb/March, I handed over my deposit (2 weeks ago) on the understanding that the car would be built in October so I'm considering my options as my current lease expires in December. It seems that most Audi models are affected, dealer doesn't know why but builds are being pushed back, disappointing but nothing I or the dealer can do.

Last I heard following that fire at the factory last week, production has been pushed back. Between 5-8 weeks in most cases. Sad, but when something like that happens, it's not easy to suddenly switch your production to elsewhere without causing delays somewhere within the system.

As I can't keep track of what's built where now, any ideas which models this impacts? RS6 as well?

Yep, sadly so. My dealer called me up on Friday to advise. I'm in the process of finalising my replacment. I was hoping for a March 1st delivery, but they're saying more likely to be May now.

Still, will have her in time for Le Mans, which is more important.
