Well whoopee my winter tyres have arrived, just in time for t-shirt weather. :bash:

Ridiculously warm in London yesterday.

Praying for some cold weather now!

Agreed! Lovely weather today! I've put off and put off fitting mine due to the warm weather. However I have given in and finally fitted them today due to having some time off this week.

If you lot can keep fitting your winter tyres so the weather keeps getting warmer, I can put off fitting mine until Jan and break my shorts and t-shirts back out the wardrobe :beerchug:

Fitted my Michelin Alpins last week & i have to be honest, they really don't inspire confidence in these temps. I'm hoping once the temps drop i'll see an improvement over the Summers as yesterdays drive from Suffolk to Lancs on Winters wasn't much fun at all.

What pressures are people running on Winters? I find best traction is at a couple of PSI less than stated on door pillar.

Yes, I think I need to have an experiment and drop the pressures slightly, mine didn't seem to have much grip at the 'book' pressure, but that could be down to them needing bedding in again after being sat in the warm of the house since March/April, and the fact the weather is still so warm outside driving!

My Continental TS830p winter 255/45/19 tyres took about 500 miles to bed in, I always ran them at the stock pressures for the tyre size. Once temperatures were below 8 Celsius they performed better than the GY Eagle F1 summer tyres I had, in both wet and dry conditions.
