Similar experience with Reading Audi. There finance guy called me out of the blue explaining the Wife's S3 was 3 years into it's 4 year finance deal and would I be interested in changing if the deal was right. I hadn't thought about changing the car but "why not". Sales guy called me back and asked what I'd consider. I said I'd be interested in a 2ltr TDI (need something economic in the family) and I didn't want to part with any money for the change-over. He said he'd call back with some options. This had me interested now and not really liking Reading Audi I called West London. Sales guy there asked the same and said he'd get back to me. Told Wife what I was unto and she we happy with the idea, jumped online to have a look and sent me the details of GTD. Any way, guy from Reading never called me back. Guy from West London sent me the details of a car by email and said he'd call me to follow up. Fast forward 48 hours and a couple of unreturned calls to both Audi dealers, I collected a lovely black GTD for VW Reading. Fast forward a week and the guy from West London called me and said "was I supposed to call you back....sorry. Anyway are you interested in what I sent you on email?" I politely ended the call.NJMAudiRS4 wrote:Went to look at an A3 for the wife at Halesowen Audi, we even booked an appointment, we arrived and was told the salesman we were to see was too busy and someone else would take over the appointment. 40 mins later a chap came over and asked us what we were looking for, told him all the details 5 door was required due to having a 10month old at the time, he came back with a 3 door and said it was exactly the same !!miatang wrote:Every dealer have their good and bad apples. Seems they need to get more training in professionalism and product knowledge for that matter.
Halesowen Audi sorted my deal out in the end. Junction 3 on the M5 which isn't a million miles from you. There stock was limited though when I placed my order so not sure if they would have a new one in the pipeline
After the test drive he tried to sell us a car that was A. The wrong colour we asked for and B. The wrong spec, he didn't seem interested in providing the customer with what they wanted, and on that 1.5hrs I'll never get back we bought a Golf GTTDI instead. I won't be going back to Halesowen and Wolverhampton aren't any better.
