Yeah - that's a weird one, the rumour is that audi spec'd these cars to be as faithful to the rs2 as they could. Clearly that means less tech.

So no heated seats - but i had it for two days in cold weather and didn't miss them

For me my next car had to have a sunroof

It looked stunning though, walking back to it in the sun was awesome. Id have bought it there and then if it had a sunroof.

Ive ended up now going for a ltd edition car, just not a nogaro selection

Interesting thread. For the record my early (2012) model has no knocking.

But it is at the time of writing in the main dealer to repair a fault they found at the 34,000 mile service. They found a fault in the passenger side front damper unit in that it is leaking hydraulic fluid. The part has been couriered from Germany and requires a special tool to refit.

While it's given me no problems I have long regretted having the D RC system fitted just because it never feels right. I have heard that the standard springs are a much better ride.

Good luck with your efforts to get your car fixed - you will need it as the individual versus the international conglomerate has little chance.

We have loads of plans for it inc lowering the RS but I ticked the box for DRC to try and see if we can build a lowering kit to work with this....
It's become a principle with Audi now as I offered to remove thd DRC and go aftermarket it if they refunded me the difference between a ats shock set up and they politely refused - let's see how I get on.

Glenn. I also asked them to remove my DRC and fit my car with the standard set up and refund the difference ! They refused again, and said no goodwill was necessary as there was 'no fault' with my DRC.

Audi definitely know how to take the piss. Do they think we are stupid ? No they don't. Do they think no one will take a multi national on......Probably........ and they are relying on it !!!!!! I would love to see them beat over this on going issue for nearly 13 years now, but don't expect it to happen. The only way I'd expect to see any result is pick the biggest Audi event of the year and all owners with DRC faults appear and display their cars at the entrance. Unfortunately embarrassment is the only thing which works in my opinion !!!!

Maybe I've been lucky, but I had no problems with my B7, which covered almost 40,000 miles and so far no issues with my B8, which has done a little over 3000 miles. It maybe worth noting that in both instances my car has been built towards the end of the production life, my B7 was a 57 plate and I took delivery of my B8 in January, although the fact that the problems still exists with some B8's would suggest build date is irrelevant. Does anyone have any idea of how many cars are affected in relation to cars on the road?

My RS6 had countless drc issues - it spent a lot of time having shocks replaced and the system repressurised, my b8 isn't here yet so no room to comment on that one yet

I had a knocking from my front drivers side (w/ DRC). They have replaced both shocks and recharged the system. I got it back on Friday however due to having an op last Wednesday I cannot drive it until Wednesday, but I will report on whether its worked.

just heard from one of my customers this morning he's had his DRC fixed on his B7....

2 new shocks free of charge & re gassed system a year after he bought the car as a "gesture of goodwill"

so it seems the B7's are still getting sorted but not the B8's
