I'll have a dig around and see if I can find out more. The R8 is irrelevant, I mentioned it as an example of the link between Audi and gearbox designer. The S4/5 is a tiptronic unit, which is a shame, I have an S5 with the S-tronic box just like my RS and its a great g/box if serviced and looked after.

VWAG are moving into different areas, watch this space, buttoning up areas that don't fit their image arguably, and making quiet progress in other high profile areas. A lot of money has been pored into an engine project which is still to be announced, I have my fingers crossed for an obvious location.

If they compromise on the B9 RS4 it will be a huge disappointment but the RS3 is there biggest RS seller so maybe the market has changed, I'm not a huge fan, I like a bigger car as I'm 6'4" and I prefer the non Haldex quattro system.

I might be back in a BMW at this rate lol
