Surprised you were paying over £600 for your B7 Sam. Did you declare any mods?

Insured both as standard. Paid £585 on the Blue one and near as damnit £580 on the Black one. I guess the spate of bucket seat thefts in South London 2014/2015 affected the cars insurance risk, even though I'm a 40 mile drive away and have the county of Surrey between me.

I think Pink is a subsidiary of Admiral - targeting female drivers.

Similar thing happened to me just before Xmas - insurance (previously £450ish) was coming up for renewal when the broker sent me a "sorry, sir, can't cover you next year" letter.
Ended up going to Elephant and paying c.£700, which isn't bad for London.

Not due for renewal until May but jumped online and did a quote anyway. Luckily premium has pretty much stayed the same for me.

Mine too, in fact the B8 at £45k is £40 P/A cheaper than the B7 at £20k was. Mid 40's, Hertfordshire, 3 points, 10 years NCB, Teacher wife, bit boring but pretty low risk.

Have asked the question about Garaged at night meaning not covered if not in garage of LV. Nothing mentioned in any documentation about 'what is not covered'. Will advise - thanks for the heads up Mike, be good to get some clarity and change cover PDQ if not covered at night if not at home.

Just gone to buy it and all the quotes in the comparison engines have gone up 5%! :bash:

Anyway, a quick call to Admiral and they matched the previous quote which I'd screenshotted and saved the reference number.

£600.47p for the year inc legal.

38years old
South London Postcode
13years protected NCD
No points or convictions
5k a year mileage
Missus as the named driver who's 32, no points or convictions either.

Not best pleased at a £160 rise from last year, but hey-Ho, what can you do.

Was with Admiral (B7) now the AA (B8). Got to watch Admiral with the options, they have a strange approach. I'd recommend spelling everything out to them.

They were very difficult about the options when we had to make a claim.

Just renewed at the end of December through ESure (previous provider) and the renewal came out at £348. A Tracker is mandatory though on cars over £50K with these...

Anyone tried sky insurance? Have to call them for a quote though.

Also, worth checking quidco for any cash back deals. I got £50 back on wifey's policy with aviva.
