Sports exhaust is valved, controlled through the ADS. Don't want it loud, don't have it loud, keep it in comfort.

The car will need to be a comfortable cruiser as well as a play thing, becasue we have all our respective parents 200+miles away. With that in mind I'm a bit worried the sports exhaust might be 'boomy' on the motorway?

If not, I'd spec the sports pack and ditch the black bits to pay for it...
OEM Sports Exhaust is not boomy on the motorway.......drop the black bits as the Sports Pack will be a "must have" for 2nd hand buyers. I have a Milltek and that's boomy at certain revs...the OEM Sports wasn't loud enough for me but does sound better than standard.

Slightly off topic, but looks like ceramics are no more for the B8.

9% discount - good?

Yes, usual AUK tardiness. I suspect they have been dropped as there have been supply issues and B8 isn't that long for this world.

My dealer matched the DtD offer, which at the time was £7500 equating to around 12% so I would think this is still achievable.

Thanks - how long ago was that, and if you don't mind me asking which dealer?

I confirmed the order in October, the dealer is Derby Audi and even though they're owned by Sytner I have no complaints so far.

For anybody that's interested, today I got a 2yr PCP quote on a 2014/63 1 owner car. The GFV quoted was £29,378, which is only £6k lower than a new one. It was a lot higher than I was expecting.

The dealer is working some numbers out for me to see if it's viable over a factory order (which I'll have to wait until March next year for). I can't see it happening, but I'll find out tomorrow.

It took a huge amount of work tracking down stock and dealers willing to do a deal but I finally found the spec I (almost) wanted at the deal I wanted.

I am paying £53,200 for a list of £61,300 thats just over 13% discount.
Additionally there is the £2k in from Audi as I will be doing a Solutions contract over 3 years.

If you are a little flexible on colour and options the deals are out there to be at year end. It varies tremendously though with some dealers not wanting to do any deal at all up to what I got. Don't let anyone talk you in to a factory order and a 4 month wait, there are loads of cars out there now, especially if you are looking for a slightly more "loaded" car than I opted for.

Thanks HYFR
It was a lot of work researching, emailing, phoning and negotiating. The latter I really enjoy so it was not to painful thankfully :-)

Just looking forward to getting the car now, driving arouind in my wife's A3 TDI 2.0 is a bit different to my old Porsche...
