Ouch!!! Got your PM, but you've got PM's turned off so I can't reply.....  :P

Finally got the alloy repaired on Friday. Pictures attached of the repair. Pretty good result, you can still tell on close examination, but good enough for me anyhow.

They look similar condition to my old vspokes. I'm 38 now and no longer worry about the occasional rim scuff, although the first one always guts me a little
Yep same here. Kerbed a rear at Llandegla at the weekend getting off the car park. I was annoyed as hell at the time but I'm over it now.

You've got rotors, so I should hope. V spokes are a different proposition as they are quite exposed.

I used to go for a good foot away. Now I'm in a loaner oddly I'm less bothered!

My wife calls it curb surfing!! It's noisy and expensive
You can hear this noise every morning on the school run

I remember years back I gave my wife my v6 4motion golf
I had owned it for 4 years with not one alloy kerbed!
She did all 4 in the first 2 weeks, however she's getting better

I've quite enjoyed not having to worry about touching a kerb parking the snotter since buying it three months ago. 55 profile tyres on 16s! However its now sporting the freshly refurbished, completely unmarked winter wheels that I had for the B6 S4. Car looks superb imo, however I'm back in paranoid mode and its utterly pointless having brand new alloys on a banger! So only this week I picked up another set of alloys (yep, three sets of wheels for my A4) so I can sell the immaculate ones......

i dinged an alloy a while back and bought a new one from Gremany as it was 1/2 the price of the Uk dealer price but i'm no of the opinion if i ding them again i will powder coat all the alloys not fussed about the dimond cut

but what colour will be the dilema when it comes

BOLLOX just nibbled the left rear. :bash:

Time to borrow the mrs nail varnish again...

Now they are on the car, I was thinking of just leaving the current immac' Avuses on the car until I put the summers back on in spring. Maybe its time to remove them now before I do any more damage and swap the winter rubber onto the older wheels? Hmmmmmm.....
