It would also need bkack mirrors to finish it off.

Thanks for that, I think that's decided then! Black wheels, and mirrors to match, like this one....

The more I look at it I think I'll leave the Roofbox gloss black and debadge the Roofbox of its 'Packline' branding. :)

Yes, I'd leave the roof box gloos black too if it were me.

That one in the photo above looks spot on (apart from lack of spacers on the rear), although dare I say it, a gloss black roofbox might improve it.
I wonder if a gloss black wrap on the roof would make it better or worse?

Agreed.

Just get the calipers done in red and colour code the mirrors to the current alloys titanium colour. Then do the roof box like this:

Anybody here heard of (or know anybody who's used) these guys?

Their work looks to be spot-on, and they seem to deal with high end cars. But pictures are only as good as opinions.

Sadly this is no longer happening. Audi Finance confirmed to me today that they no longer offer the option to refinance balloons with another PCP option. The only refinance route I can take is HP over 12mths.

They said they could extend the PCP for 6mths max if a replacement car was due (and overrunning), but given the B9 RS4 is nowhere to be seen it's highly unlikely that will work for me.

So with my balloon due at the start of January the B8 will sadly be going to a new home or back to Audi, between now & then. :(

Why not explore PCP through a third party?

E.g. I briefly considered a used B8 RS4 on finance, before buying my B7 outright. I got a quote for PCP from a company called Prestige Car Finance with more favourable terms than from Audi, for the same car.

I've heard of them before. I can't remember the exact conversation, but my mate was impressed by them.

Thanks for the suggestion about third-party PCP. It's all very complicated re settlement and who gets paid etc, but because I own the car i would in essence be financing a private sale, which they don't cater for. So it unfortunately rules that out.

Interesting day at the dealer today discussing my options and timeframes on other cars. In the showroom they had a run-out model SQ5 'Plus' with some nice options ticked. They also have a Sepang Blue one in very similar spec. After chatting it through there's decent GFV's on the finance plus good discounts being offered on the Plus, so I'm in the last stages of negotiating/deciding. The best bit is the roofbox and bars I bought for the B8 also fit it so I don't have to worry about space...

Surely with a PCP, you don't technically own the car until the balloon payment is made? Am I wrong here? But if that was the case, you could argue the case that you don't own the car. Just because your name is on the V5, doesn't mean you own it. I believe the wording on the V5 (it used to be on a few years ago if not now) is ' The registered keeper is not necessarily the legal owner'.

I assume you have driven an SQ5? I have and I wasn't that taken with it. I think you would sorely miss the RS4 if you got one, but obviously it's a personal thing.

That's certainly the case with my RS3. When I got the car my insurance company even issued a new certificate listing the finance company as the owners and me as the keeper.

Sorry, perhaps it was my bad choice of words. When I say "own", i mean a finance agreement in my name and I'm the registered keeper. So in essence it would be a B2C transaction, where as PCP is always B2B.
