I have had winter tyres for the past 3 winters on my WRX STI and I couldn't agreed more. The Scooby AWD meant that I go forwards without the winters fitted, but still found it wouldn't stop at times. With the winters fitted the car was pretty much oblivious to the weather unless the snow got to the top of the ground clearance. Even having watched the videos on you tube I just can't believe the difference. Have just bought a set of 19in rims and Dunlops for the RS4 which i'll fit once the average temp falls below 9 degrees.

As we only do about 5-6k miles a year in the Eos we now run that all year on winters. The loss of summer grip is negligible compared to the improvement in the winter and this is the first set of tyres we've got reasonable life from on the Eos too..
