Update time, the gearbox on my car would still occasionally slam into second gear from first which didn't trouble me too much as I'd rather live with it than take the car back for more of the same bullsh*t from Audi.

Anyway, I took it in last Wednesday and the car had no faults stored so I resigned myself to the usual response. However they did some checks and finally dropped the GB oil which was only 900 miles old, it was dark and burnt and Audi told me a new gearbox was ordered.
The old box was taken out on Thursday afternoon and the new fitted on Friday ready for me to collect at 5pm. All in all a faultless experience which I wasn't expecting!
The shift is much quicker than before and has given me the love back for this car.
:beerchug:

They also gave me a fully specced B9 3.0tdi which I really enjoyed, looking forward to the B9 RS4.
In the meantime I'll continue to enjoy the panther black B8..

Glad you've had no trouble

Probably my original gearbox that was removed 7 weeks ago, reconditioned and sent out. Only had 4k on it and was lovely and smooth, just the crown wheel centre differential components needed replacing.

Wish I had it back to be honest. As I'm still debating with Audi over what is an acceptable noise when coasting to a stop, to be within tolerance on the new replacement gearbox they've fitted.

Quite possibly, I never even had chance to ask what they had fitted as the shock of being so prompt with the whole repair left me totally stunned.

The buzzing has also gone when the car is in drive or reverse, fingers crossed it won't return.

Hopefully your issues will be resolved and then you can start enjoying it, when everything works it's a really good car!

Totally off-topic, but can I ask who did your wheels? Did you just have the rotors painted, or did you have the lips and rims refinished as well?

They were already done when I bought them, powder coated in satin black then diamond cut.

I'd use Prestige Wheel Centre in Birmingham.
