Has anyone dared to remap yet?

Looking at RS5 figures on a major tuners website its a whopping 8 bhp and 6ft lbs of torque.

Improves your 1/4 mile by 0.2 seconds and adds 1mph to the top speed.

So looks pretty pointless even from the drivability stakes?

Seems like not much bhp or extra to void a warranty on a 60k car :bash:

Well I think I'm going to fit 15mm H&R rear spacers and 10 fronts, and lower the car on the H&R 15mm lowering springs, the same set up that DK did on his imola rs5 which to me looked great!!got my spacers on order, just got to sort the springs out, and once I'm back from my hols I will fit and update with pics

Should do I reckon, got to make the most of the warranty before I supercharge it, that is on the to do list for sure, and will be done, then it will be a very special motor

Very special. Lowering will give stance and Charged like you say, special. How long residual do you have left on the warranty?

I've got the extended warranty, so just under 4 years to go, however I might be able to get around a few issues regarding this,I will wait a couple of years before charging

Don't want to go into too much detail, but shouldn't have to worry too much as I have a friendly Audi tech :bigblink:

Im planning the following:

APR ECU Tune - Not really cause of the extra power, but mainly cause i can switch modes via the mobile app, tuned to valet to stock etc.

Akrapovic Exhaust - Stock/Sport exhaust is waaaay too quiet.

Replacement Panel Filters - BMC or K&N?

KW Coilover springs - Want to retain the DRC, but wanted firmer spring rates, stock suspension is way to soft in my opinion.

LED interior light upgrade - I just hate yellowish lights on a premium car!

I saw on another thread that lowering the car will effect the assistance systems (active cruise, lane departure etc.) Can anyone confirm if that's true?

Anyone else in Australia looking at getting a Akrapovic exhaust or KW springs? maybe if we have more people we could get the price down a bit. $9K on an exhaust (not full system) is still a little hard to swallow!

In fairness you'd definitely need valet mode to switch off the 8 BHP before the Audi tech's drive the car or they'll realise somethings up :bash:

Valet mode actually limits the revs and top speed.

Great if your handing the car over to a workshop (paint, tint etc.) or even to a real valet car park person!

Its something you can have from APR & possibly other tuners. I had it on my MkIV Golf R32, until the ECU went TU & had to be replaced.........
It's all torque talk.

But surely sticking it in valet mode highlights you've got software and invalidates your warranty when they take it out.

So it's a big expense for no performance gain just valet mode and no warranty?
