If there would be enough call for these then if you fancied taking your car to one of my manufacturers I could get them developed.

Near to Guildford in SurreyWhere are you located Silas?
Ok that's a bit far. All is not lost though as there is another set listed on the same year so I'm checking if those would be the correct ones.Silas wrote:Near to Guildford in SurreyWhere are you located Silas?
I think it's safe to assume that from the wonky twill weave in the pictures that these are just wet laid; which would look really naff on a 70k vehicle if I'm honest.
There is a big difference in the shapes of the mirrors. The angle gives more of an impression of weave distortion in the photo, but you will never totally eliminate weave distortion on complex shapes, whether you use wet lay, resin infusion or pre preg. It's a little easier using pre preg but more costly.Surrey Sam wrote:I think it's safe to assume that from the wonky twill weave in the pictures that these are just wet laid; which would look really naff on a 70k vehicle if I'm honest.
Is the use of pre-impregnated carbon not an option?
You'd get a much better finish i.e.
Appreciate the mirrors are marginally more complex to do, but more so than the slam panel?Carbon Goodies wrote: There is a big difference in the shapes of the mirrors. I am currently offering what is available to me but I also have the option of developing new parts too.
That would involve a development cost which is never cheap as you have a pattern and moulding cost as well as the cost of the part itself.Surrey Sam wrote:Appreciate the mirrors are marginally more complex to do, but more so than the slam panel?Carbon Goodies wrote: There is a big difference in the shapes of the mirrors. Perhaps you can give people an idea on what the cost difference would be, or would it just be better for potential customers to go direct to the manufacturer?
