You will get used to start stop and hill hold together. You need different pressures on the clutch to activate each. When parking just switch it off.

I've been messing with specs and had decided against buckets......but now.

Sound Pack
Hill Hold (a must for £65)

What have I missed....in your opinion.
I starting to think the hill hold is useless. You can't effectively use it with the stop start technology and its an absolute pain when trying to parallel park.
I disagree based on my experience with mrs' Porsche.
it has a switch too, so you can turn it off :jump_clap: Have you actually used it??? I parallel park outside my house at least twice a day and it was never an issue??

Tech pack advanced is good vfm too
I agree and have not 100% made my mind up but I'd rather spend the £1400 elsewhere. E.G. Auto boot lid was very useful when carrying bags/golf clubs £220 and advanced key was also useful £500. (expensive really but useful)

I am trying to keep a lid on options as they are dead money in my book.

first impressions after test drive

I would have had to have the ceramics. I was not convinced by the steel offering and that was piddling around Millbrook. Leg needed to be longer as I was pushing the pedal a long way.

Options may not be entirely recoverable, but they do add saleability and if spending > 60k why quibble over the odd five grand. It's almost penny pinching....want it then tick it. Buy gold if you want your money back!

I would go for the convenience pack too - unless you are having buckets...

The standard seats are electric and if you ever have anyone else using the car who is a different height the convenience pack will make life a bit easier as it memorises by the key. I got my new RS4 last week and I am already regretting not having it - especially as my wife has taken a liking to the new motor...

I like the sunroof too - but that is a fairly personal choice...

Ceramics are over kill on a road car and expensive if they git chipped.

I agree and I think it includes tilting passenger mirror when reversing

Maybe, maybe not. Just my view having driven both.

But if you're at lights or in traffic on a hill and you want the engine off (via stop/start) and give your leg a break then the hill hold is useless IMO.

Agreed re the parking however I always forget and get annoyed!

Then just put the gearbox in 'P'. The hill hold will be on and the start/stop will be activated.

The hill hold is great if you don't want to use start stop and you want hill hold on. I'm a huge fan of it.
