So. Car went back today for the first round of tweaks.

The small amount of drone there was is now completely eradicated. It's completely OEM sounding now in non-sport mode. We're trialling the removal of the X pipe (and haven't yet installed the H pipe so flow is mixed in the first box). The car now sounds much more aggressive and 'american muscle car' when you open the taps.

It's not as loud as I'd like yet but JCWF have told me the plans for that and I'm super excited about them - on paper it'll work a treat and allow the best of both worlds so we'll see soon.

Don't stare too much at the backboxes (or the pipework to them) as they're temporary and will be replaced when I'm back - these are still the first version and will be binned in exchange for the new ones.

For now, I'm off to the 'ring at the weekend so the priority was to remove that slight drone so I have a pleasant drive there and back - and they've knocked it out of the park as usual.

In summary, we're in the second stage of the prototyping and already making great progress and the guys have got options now - more to come when I get back from the 'ring!

Here's some photos of the quality and standards they're working to. More to come in a weeks time.

Box Hill - B7 vs B8 JCWF shoot out... Just for comparison purposes, of courses ;)

Be good to finally meet, Ross :biggrin2:

May have to get some video of that...

That JC Exhaust looks amazing quality; like it - I'm being a little held back though....

....at 6000 miles; my standard Audi Sports Exhaust sounds like an absolute BEAST - can someone check somewhere to see if the ltd car sports exhaust is the same part number to the non ltd car? I'll do some videos or something like that; this is either faulty in a real good way, or deliberate, or i'm just getting old and actually it can sound better with the aftermarket.

My mate has just bought an RS4, and his less mileage car sounds nothing like mine (even though his is sports etc). Weird very weird indeed.

The sound of the car definately changes as it runs in. After 4.5K miles mine sounds filthy on the stock sports exhaust!

Filthy is the right word; it's like a beast. I can imagine jumping for an aftermarket in the early days; but now I'm wondering if it's a waste of dosh - I have zero resonance; and it sounds like a beast - with windows down you are getting full reverb off the buildings around you - tunnels rock, sounds great inside.....

Dropping to first is something else... wow the drop 3/2/1 in manual is wicked

....I'm puzzled.

Still don't get it. Unless you have a lift like that in the garage (or a mirror on the floor...ooo err) when are you going to see it again?

Where's the link to youtube so we can hear it??

its about quality, getting the most out of your money
Basically it's a well built product. Just because people can't see your underwear does it mean you would walk round with your wife's knickers on with a dirty great skid mark?
Maybe you would?
