Slight prod is probably best way to describe Mercedes set up too, rather than my description of 'hard push'.
Pleased about that as I do miss it ( about the only thing I do miss about the merc :D )

Well, it's all change for me!
Still not had build date, but there's a car coming in, build week 10, here for April. And I've decided to take it!
It's my spec except no rear air bags, blinds, HHA, carbon inlays instead of piano black and no storage pack.
In addition to my spec it's got high beam assist and heated rear seats.
I asked for another child seat and A glaze to be thrown in, which they did.

They were surprised that they hadn't had a build date but there was talk of quarter 4 for the last RS's.
No pressure to take the other car and I don't think they were just saying Q4 to get me to take the other car.
I did consider waiting but thought, 'it's close enough'.

Now I've written this, I don't know if I've done the right thing!! ( not signed new paperwork yet though...) HELP!!!

I suspect only you know the right decision
From a spec point of view ;
1) Rear Airbags could be important if you have kids that ride in the car regularly (as I guess you do by asking for the child seats) - Although saying that, I don't have rear airbags, and have two kids in the car often
2) Tinted windows make the blinds redundant in my opinion
3) I never use the HHA assist in my car as I find it clunks at times as it releases and makes making progress less fluid in traffic, and prefer just to sit with my foot on the brake
4)Carbon inlays are not bad at all
5) storage pack can be retrofitted I believe. although i've had it and not hardly used it, so didn't bother the second time

Don't worry about it. I changed my spec loads of times during the wait but am happy with what I ended up with.

Spec is close enough and if it was me I think I would take it up. Plus taking into account they havent given a build for yours yet makes it even more tempting.

Build week 10 is next week, Damn that means you'll get your before me :bash:

I'm going to take it.

I've thought long and hard and have decided it is close enough to the spec I wanted.
The only thing I was hesitant about was the lack of rear airbags. But I've never had them before and if they weren't on the options list I wouldn't have even thought about them.
I went back and took another look at the carbon inlays; they look ok.
Got privacy glass in the car I have now, and it cuts glare enough, so blinds aren't really necessary.
I'm a bit anal about having rubbish in my cars so the lack of storage nets isn't an issue either.
HHA ? Never tried it in an Audi so don't know what it's like so how can I miss it?

Hopefully car to be built next week and delivery what, 4 weeks later? ( feel free to correct me on that )

Once it's here I'm sure I'll forget all about my hesitation. Especially once I hear the exhaust note!!

Thanks for all your advice chaps!

And miatang, I'll be getting mine first!! :thumb:

My RS6 was build week 51. It's not in the country yet. However that's at the extreme end of things.

Blimey Doodlebug!
I'd be throwing my toys out of the pram by now! You're a patient man. Respect!

My toys came out a long time ago. That's why I'm in a loan S4.

One gets bored of arguing after a while. It's free and it'll go in a supermarket car park. Next to the door.

Waiting for Porsche to alocate numbers to dealers
Chances are slim, but possibility of a later run for f PDK cars, so might get in during that wave
Whichever way, it looks like it's going to a long wait
Any news?

From a 991 Turbo S and ex-997.2 GT3 RS owner.....

Told that chances are slim having missed original allocation, but ok to keep £5k deposit in just in case everyone drops out (three times) or I catch the DP cheating on his wife and bribe him ;)
