Front Brakes

Post by Fluke84 » Fri Nov 25, 2022 9:16 pm

Hello

Has anyone any experience with AutoDoc and Zimmerman front Pads and Discs? Currently have 43% off today £575.
Audi have just quoted me £1500 to replace.

I currently have the car up for sale. Hypothetically would you be put off if OEM discs weren't on the car?
I'm also looking at the Reyland 380mm kit as a replacement. Just waiting on confirmation if the OEM pad fits the 380mm disc.

What's peoples thoughts?
Stick with OEM Wavy, Upgrade to 380mm Reylands or Zimmermans just as good as OEM?

Car only does around 3-400 miles a month if that

Hey Fluke, are you having to replace the pads and discs to enhance the appeal as the car is on the market ?.. I think the Reyland stuff is top drawer, not so much the Zimmerman from a "name" point of view..

Cars in having the condenser replaced under warranty. Audi advised front pads and discs.
Just wondering if anybody has used Zimmerman before.
They’re mentioned on the brakes thread.
I think I’d prefer OEM for ease of selling the car.
Has anyone viewed their car and seen non wavy and been put off?
Yes reyland seem to be held in high regard. What pads do people use with them? Reyland advise against ferrodo ds2500

Personally, I wouldn't fit the cheaper stuff, but I'm not in you're position and it's one of those ones, £1500.00 is a hell of a lot of money to plough into a car you're selling.

FWIW, I reckon most buyers of our cars are knowledgeable as to what they are looking at, is it possible to fit OEM and raise the asking price?

Brand new OEM pads and discs are very attractive selling points. Sorry I can't help with your questions directly, but as above I reckon most viewers would get excited that new quality pads and discs have just been fitted.

I think I can get Reylands and OEM pretty much same cost and I'll just fit myself.

Just realised it looks like you're just across the water from me
