GJ13 TXU

Hi guys

I’m hoping you can help, I’m looking to purchase a B8 RS4 reg is GJ13 TXU, how do I go about tracking down the maintenance history on the car? Supplier dealer not been overly helpful in advising just the usual line of it’s been very well maintained. Is it possible to track the history through Audi U.K.?

Hi Gav,

Id say unlikely. Audi UK would likely only share the history with the registered keeper and then it would only be for the Main Dealer servicing... Which it may not have had every year.

You'll probably better off getting an independent check over the car if there is no history and take your chances... Or find one for sale with a lovely lever arch full of receipts. Yum.

Also.

I'd make sure the suspension has been looked at/replaced. MOT history would suggest this has been an issue in the past.

Yeah thanks mate, it’s on new KW V3 now. Seems crazy dealer can’t share receipts due to GDPR, so no way I can verify history on the car prior to viewing/purchasing.

Before I purchased mine privately I rang the Audi dealer where the last service was done and just asked for the history as I was looking to buy.

They got back to me with the full history at each different dealer it had been to, although they said they couldn’t give some details as they were held by the specific dealer that done the work

It’s more than the dealer can tell me that’s for sure, many thanks. Guess that’s the Audi main dealer visits, big gap between one but it’s had some independent specialist visits also so hopefully I can build up a full picture of the cars history.

Not sure why audi make it so difficult to give this info. Its not got any owner info on there for them to worry about any breach of owner info. Typical audi muppets.
