I caught a couple of scrotes lurking on my property earlier this week on camera. Looked like they were looking to break in but they got scared of by the floodlight and legged it. Looked more like local burglary gang rather than targeted car thieves so hopefully they won't be back.

Thanks for the comments ref securemycar. After reviewing the comments on here, some forum info and also direct PM's to me I have decided to leave them well alone. My initial worries don't seem to have been cleared.

However,

I am currently speaking to a company called ProtectAVan who advertise an OBD Protection cover on Ebay. They list an Audi A4 cover (up to 2015) but have asked them about fitment etc. This seems to be a very simple addition to make opportunist OBD theft go away. The company makes all sorts of lock protection etc for vans and are now making OBD covers as well. £125 might be worth it! Will keep you informed, maybe we can organise some sort of group buy discussion if they are any good?

I'd be interested to know what put you off?

It cost me around £9 to make my OBD secure.
Bought a 12 pin male and female connector and chopped the OBD harness about 15cm from the port and added the connector so the OBD is now removeable.
If you're competent with a soldering iron then it's an easy solution and doesn't throw up any faults on VCDS. It's just a bit awkward trying to solder under the dash but well worth the effort.
