Surprised so many like the B&O as I've been a bit 'meh' about it to be honest.

I'm finding that you need to really turn up the volume to get some mid-range and bass, but then the top end is far too harsh. Dial back the treble and the sound becomes muddy. Dance music doesn't really test it and sounds fine to me.

At some point I might see if I can upgrade the tweeters to something smoother sounding, also adding some dynomat to the front doors may help the midrange a tad more

That's my boy Sam! If you need an 18" subwoofer for the boot let me know.

I had B&O in my B8 S4 (and Bose in the B6 S4) so I know what they are like and pretty good imo

I have a Boxster too with Bose and for what it is worth it is very disappointing. Plenty of comments about it on the web

I sat in a pals S3 yesterday, and okay it is a different car, different installation but the sound was night and day from the rubbish system in the RS4

I'll let you know how I get on........

An update. I've agreed to return the car to the garage and I'll start again looking for a car

Garage being reasonable but........ I've arranged to take it back this Saturday and now they tell they won't do a bank transfer until the Monday

Further thoughts?

Can't do a transfer out of Mon-Fri. Due to value it'll be CHAPS and the cutoff is 6pm Friday, doesn't open until 4am Monday.

Car returned bank transfer done there and then. Garage very reasonable about it all albeit their mistake. Credit to them for handling it well

If it`s Aberdeen Audi by chance, I bought my RS5 from there, and got sterling service. They couldn`t do enough for me, and my car came immaculately prepared.

Ask to deal with John McCabe if you can; top bloke is John.

It was a private sale and I didn't buy it. Might still, but a ride issue to be addressed first. Thanks for asking

Fair play...stick by your guns.

They're a lovely car, once you get one that stacks up to your expectation

Thanks hadn't seen the ad. Problem is I'm Edinburgh based and a bit fatigued travelling the country looking for the right spec car in the right condition at the right price

Re-advertised, B&O is gone from the description... but now it's a manual car.
