Maybe it's a reflection of driving ability ;)
Perhaps. But I'm yet to be passed by another Audi at the ring ;)

Actually, to be less sarcastic, the ring isn't tough on brakes for the simple reasons that generally, people are relatively unfamiliar with the track in comparison to a normal circuit where you're hitting the same corner every circa 90 seconds so brake much harder/later, and also people tend to do one lap at a time. On a normal track day you might do 20-30mimute sessions, or on an open pit lane day, keep going until you run out of petrol, brakes, tyre or breath

Fair graeme :)

I didn't have a problem on any trackday I did in the UK (cadwell, Combe and mostly bedford) in the B7 but it is lighter than the b8. I've not done anything other than the ring in the b8 yet, but when I am I generally do 3 laps back to back, and all sub 9 mins so not hanging about.

I'm there again next week so don't be surprised when I come back swearing and eating humble pie saying I ran out of brakes this trip :p

So 3 months after my original post having looked at around 15 cars missing out on 2 good ones I've managed to put a deposit down on this 64 plate Mythos B8 :D

Had to move up a bit from original budget but its pretty much got everything I was looking for with full leather, pan roof, sports pack with V spokes, convenience pack, B&O, advanced parking system, black optics, privacy and bonus red calipers which I really liked the look of on yours Geoffdunk.

Thanks again for all the feedback, really looking forward to picking it up in next week or so for an 'entertaining' drive home!!

WOWSporty, looks good, looks almost identical to mine lol. I'm now trying to agree a trade in price for mine prior to me placing the order for its replacement!!!

Thanks guys, what's the replacement geoffdunk?

The car is MY15 and done 8750 miles with warranty until Jan 2018, it was serviced recently at Audi specialist using genuine Audi parts and advised by seller that warranty still valid which seems correct based on what I can see from websites etc.......any views?

Following up with local Audi garage tomorrow.
