3's an awkward age because they are close to the max 4yr threshold in this seat type, so you may only get 6-9mths out of it. My 2yr old sits in a Maxi Cosi Pearl on a Family Fix base.

My wife went through gazillion tests and reviews. We decided for Römer / Britax Kidfix XP SICT ISOFIX seat, rated at 15-36kg (3+ years). Bought it when my daughter was 2yr and 11 months, she is now over 4 years. Very easy to fix in the RS4 (although pain in the a** to put into my wife's A1, but thats because of the very deep positioning of ISOFIX anchors on back seats of A1). Very comfy and easy to clean. A bit on the expensive side, but there are cheaper versions of it as well (without the respective XP or SICT tags - one means padded seat belt for impact absorption and other means increased side impact protection, dont know which one is which). Check some kiddy stuff website for more info. It also fared VERY WELL in most german child seat tests, and ended up on 1st or 2nd places. Also, it has low sides so my daughter can climb in on her own without any help, needs just help with seat belt. Fully satisfied so far :jump:

Maxi Cosi Rodifix my little boy has used it from 3 and should see him for the foreseeable future. Plugs in via Isofix just to keep it in place but Isofix is optional secures with belt voted 4-5 stars in Times driving supplement last Sunday and voted comfiest for kids.

I know it's not an isofix, but I use the Recaro Young Sport seats. Can be used from approx 9 months to 11/12 years.
I use isofix for the baby seat but once they have gone into a proper child seat then the Recaros are fine and plenty secure. Not as easy to get in and out as isofix but we have one one each car so don't have to do this often. When my eldest was getting a bit bigger (about 4 years old), there was only one seat available for his age with isofix, the rest were belts only.

There's a Recaro option with Isofix, it's just the job.

I have the recarro sports isofix. They are superb for the b8, secures the little ones heads, to allow for comfortable sleeping and sportive driving, they have speakers in for the iPad. Work real well in the b8.

Got mine for a great price from revolution.

Aye, that's the one. Fits in the back of a 991 TTS which is also useful.

I think the Recaro isofix is from age 4 upwards though.

That's the kiddy.

Age is only a guide, height more critical, by boy outgrew his Maxi Cosi Tobi.

That's the one, but i've seen it elsewhere saying 4-12 years. All comes down to the weight though, the age bit is just a guidance isn't it.

So rspj, if your 3 year old doesn't weigh 15kg buy them some burgers and get the Recaro.
