RS4 vs RS4

Post by Tboy113 » Mon Sep 28, 2015 3:53 pm

so... i've just got another RS4 B8 from Newbury Audi.... had an order cancelled and made me an offer i couldn't refuse as this had all the tricks on the option list inc the Sports pack and red calipers..

anyway this new 2015 RS4 seems quieter than my older 2014 with sports exhaust...which is strange. I've noticed small differences in the car which i'd expect as small updates but was wondering if they newer version have more sound proofing between ? and yes ive got it in dynamic ;)

First one was quiet standard except full leather and sports exhaust.....build date was April 2014.

new one was is a full sports pack, black edition, red calipers, privacy glasss etc but seems less roooooooarr to the exhaust... anyone else noticed this? maybe it need to run in more but seems ....... quieter inside than the previous one...... :blackrs4:

Word on the street is the exhaust takes a few k miles to really start to unleash properly. So you may find it's just down to that. Wait until you've got 10k on your current one before a fair comparison :)

That's right guys.

Mine is a lot louder than it was when I got it, now heading for 8k miles and 6 months old ish.

I wanted an aftermarket; but until I finally get to a meet and listen to the other guys - I feel it's loud enough - the hindhead tunnel was certainly entertaining on Sunday night....

Also it's much louder when the car is warm; or undergoing sporty driving

Hot tip!!!!

Hind head, yeah there's Tod cameras beginning and end, that means an average speed of 70mph; gives you fair scope.

Second gear suits the tunnel, and wow..... Pano roof back... My daughter (7) simply said... Daddy - this car sounds amazing!!! - now I maybe going bald, but at least I'm still down there wit da kids.... Chuckle.
