Everyday that you don't act; is a day that they don't have to act. Don't mess, you're not happy, get it sorted, and go immediately to the top! Why not?

I have no time in my busy life to mess with things that aren't right, if I have issues that re-occur on mine, the answer will be simple - email to the top, drop the car off at a dealers, leave it their until it's fixed / replaced. Drive wife's golf in meantime.... Be completely reasonable throughout the whole process, escalate and discuss more loudly in the public environment until the matter is concluded.

If you're going to reject it, put it in writing to audi uk initially.
The ball's then rolling and its up to them to sort it out for you or replace your car
The dealer will try and Palm you off over and over and you'll end up in some shitty courtesy car whilst they attempt to fix it

Update, after many weeks and being pleasant. The car is getting ceramic brakes and the use of a RS6 until the parts arrive. Only because the Audi customer manager for UK was in the showroom, who I told my story to. Result.

Got ceramics on mine too - had them on my B7 as well. Brilliant! Superb, positive braking power, no more rust forming on the disc, therefore no hot rust sticking to your alloys causing the black crusty ingrained marks in the corners of the spokes, and cleaner alloys for longer as no brake dust. Good result!

Wow, that's a better result than one could have hoped for. You'll like the Ceramics :nodder:

New update, apparently they can't fit ceramic brakes, has to be done at factory during the build.

Trying new discs and pads, if not talking about a softer pad which is used in the American market. I could fecking scream. Rs6 getting picked up tomorrow to use. Money not object they say in Aberdeen Audi :). 3rd time it's been in the garage and 5 weeks it's been this time, frustrating thing is I've been driving a demonstrator rs4 with no squeal. Grr.

Hmm - that's not true... I don't think so anyway. Definitely for the B7 you could order a Ceramic Upgrade kit right off the parts counter at the Audi Dealers, full bonifidey Audi Warrantied Parts.

Just as a double check; I'd call a completely different dealer - from a different owner; ask for parts and ask if they do a B8 RS4 Ceramic Upgrade kit.

Load of rubbish if you ask me.

They've probably just realised how much a set of Ceramics are going to cost and are now back peddling fast. I've retrofitted them to my B7 and they simply just bolted on with a couple of coding adaptions to do.

I was offered a ceramic brake upgrade to buy on my first B8 RS4 when I had problems with squeal on that car
They said it wasn't just as simple as discs, callipers, carriers and pads, but it needed some software change, but it was certainly doable at the time

More likely that they've offered it and then realised what the parts cost is - at retail £6400 for the discs, £700 for the pads, and probably not far off £1k for the callipers and carriers.
